Daily Doodle

For today's daily doodle I thought I'd try some different face shapes.  On a side note, everyone in the coffee shop tonight had on glasses.

What's in my sketchbook today...

Can you guess which sketch I like the most, and which one is my alter ego?

Fearfully and Wonderfully made

I went for coffee with a friend and as usual she says the most wonderful things, so wonderful it made me do a quick sketch.

Last thing on my desk...I swear!

Last thing on my desk...I swear, is an old Ill Friday image (talented). I never got around to cleaning up the line art or painting it, so I thought I'd keep the water colors in the drawer and work on my Photoshop skills.  It's a good start and I'm really happy with it, so I think when I'm done I'll have a nice portfolio piece.

What's on my desk...also?

This little cutie is the front of the pop up Mother's Day card that I made for my mom. My plan is to make a Youtube tutorial on making a card with a wheel, but I also thought it'd be cool to upload some of the in progress images.  Step one was to plan out the layout by making a thumbnail; mine are usually  really messy scribbles, so I never post them.   Step two, which is shown here, was to draw & scan the image.

What's on my desk?

I like to call this one "Prayer of the Older Sibling".

Daily Doodle #10

Here's another, super easy 30 second doodle.

Daily Doodle 9

I absolutely love "Weeds" it's care free, greatly over exaggerated and herpes or not-- I would totally marry Doug Wilson. But, every now and then, I need to step away from the never ending Botwin saga and start "Breaking Bad".  So, thanks Bryan Cranston for being awesome and easy enough to draw in 30 seconds!

Daily Drawing #3

Doodling at work.

Scrapbook #2

Drawing every night can be a little daunting, so I found an old clip art book my mom bought me when I was 8 and I've been drawing those pictures at night.  I begged her for this book and I was a little sad that the drawings were too difficult for me to draw. But, 8 year old me would not be defeated, so I used to trace the drawings on tissue paper and use them as art in my Barbie house and pictures for my play photo album.  I always thought that the day I could draw from this book freehand I would consider myself a great artist.

Scrapbook #1

So, in the beginning of Jan. I promised myself that I would turn out 100 new images in 2012 & post them on my blog.  It's October and I've posted 11 images.  Not to say I haven't been drawing, but truth be told I haven't been drawing as often as I should and definitely haven't been sharing or working on my blog.  So, here we go, 89 drawings in 90 days.  Challenge accepted!

Fan Art

Combined 2 of my favorite shows. Andy turned out a little odd, but I like this & I think I'm going to color it.

Joanna Davidovich

Cup O' Jo is one of my favorite blogs, I recently took a look at her website and fell in love with everything I saw. I LOVE her drawing style-it's sexy, vintage, girly, fun, full of curves and movement! I wish I could say these were my originals--Jim was based on her version and Awesome Girl with Towel is an outright copy.

Young Frankenstein

Apparently Bob Ross doesn't paint people and I don't draw monsters.

Hands up

I've always had problems drawing hands, so for a couple nights. I just sat around and drew hands. They turned out pretty nice.

From my sketchbook to you...
